Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tax compliance services for high-net-worth individuals and U.S.-owned foreign entities.
- Support local tax professionals in understanding and navigating international tax regulations.
- Investigate emerging tax issues as they arise.
- Keep clients and internal teams informed about changes in international tax legislation.
- Address technical accounting inquiries from team members and senior client management.
- Collaborate with internal software developers to create automated solutions.
- Oversee the team's workflow, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed promptly.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution; a Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- CPA certification or in the process of obtaining it.
- Between two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a professional services environment, focusing on tax compliance with intermediate to advanced tax preparation capabilities.
- Experience with information reporting forms for foreign entities, such as Form 5471, Form 8865, and Form 8858; familiarity with individual tax returns is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of international tax provisions, cross-border issues, and U.S. tax compliance for international taxpayers, including foreign tax credits and income repatriation.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); experience with OneSource and/or CCH Axcess software is a plus.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual eager to enhance their technical tax expertise and practical application of international tax strategies and U.S. tax compliance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate leadership and project management skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills across various formats are essential, along with the ability to manage and meet challenging deadlines.
