We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team at Planet Pharma. This role is essential for our Analytical Chemistry Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preparative SFC and HPLC for drug discovery compounds to support internal initiatives.
- Perform quality control assessments of purified compounds utilizing LCMS and NMR techniques.
- Isolate and purify synthetic final products and intermediates through advanced chromatography methods.
- Drive improvements in productivity and efficiency through innovative workflow enhancements and automation.
- Contribute to laboratory upkeep and maintenance.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities within the Physicochemical Properties analysis area.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- A minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting, with a focus on organic solvents and reagents.
- Proficiency in chromatography techniques.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with analytical and preparative LCMS systems from Agilent and/or Waters.
- Knowledge of analytical and preparative SFC across various platforms.
- Understanding of chromatographic method development.
- Familiarity with analytical software from Agilent, Waters, and Bruker.
- Experience in laboratory automation and liquid handling systems.
- Proficient in NMR spectroscopy, including operation of Bruker NMR spectrometers and data interpretation.
