Division Overview:

Our Beverage Division specializes in manufacturing a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas, as well as new energy drinks. We lead the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with supervision to ensure optimum levels of manufacturing production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Front End Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Understanding and following verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Reading and writing, particularly letters and numbers.
  • Passing a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
  • Using measuring equipment and computer systems.
  • Adjusting machines to maintain quality to customer specifications.
  • Judging the quality of packaging products.
  • Working safely and maintaining good safety procedures.
  • Following all Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintaining an excellent Absenteeism and Tardiness Record.
  • Demonstrating good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communicating effectively with coworkers and supervision.
  • Exhibiting self-motivation to maintain correct processes.
  • Using basic hand tools and obtaining additional required tools within 3 months.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds manually using proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area in accordance with 6S principles.

Requirements:

  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience with computer skills in inspecting, testing, packaging, and high-speed manufacturing environments.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of OSHA-related training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Beverage Packaging Quality industry experience.
  • Knowledge of AS400, QAS, and NWA systems.
  • 6S Training.

  • Demonstrated good relations skills and the ability to motivate or team with people.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a manufacturing, office, packaging, and warehouse environment.
  • Exposed to light lifting, warehouse forklift traffic, and production noise levels.
