Position Overview
As a Steel Reinforcement Specialist, you will be responsible for producing tailored products that align with client specifications and preparing finished orders for distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer order specifications through drawings, work orders, or blueprints to ascertain the features of the final product, required materials, and machine setup.
- Fabricate components as outlined in work orders, ensuring the correct materials are utilized and performing various fabrication tasks.
- Conduct visual and tactile inspections of workpieces, using tools such as tape measures, calipers, or gauges to confirm adherence to quality standards.
- Package items for shipment, employing protective measures like bracing, padding, or strapping to safeguard products during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all materials are in their designated locations.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
- Work is typically performed in a comfortable setting, though you may encounter conditions that could lead to moderate discomfort or risk, including temperature variations, moving machinery, loud sounds, and fumes.
- Physical activity is required intermittently, including walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, and handling materials or equipment that may weigh over 50 pounds.
- Travel is minimal, generally less than 10% of the time.
- A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, along with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
