  • This role is crucial in supporting manufacturing processes by maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting and programming drives for industrial machinery. Proficiency in installing and repairing equipment and programming drives according to application requirements is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and facilities as needed.
  • Identify potential issues and promptly report them to the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain operations of manufacturing plant equipment.
  • Repair and monitor hydraulic and mechanical power transmission systems.
  • Support production lines to ensure optimal functionality of manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate industrial machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Interpret equipment drawings and schematics.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining all electrical and electronic components related to manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform routine tests and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
  • Analyze machine failures caused by electrical or electronic issues and take corrective actions.
  • Assist with electrical preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize test equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Install and align motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
  • Calibrate equipment according to specifications.
  • Maintain service logs for specific systems or equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of electrical and electronic systems for existing and new equipment.
  • Compile parts lists and gauge conduit and wire sizes for applications.
  • Assist in the installation and testing of various electrical components and systems.
  • Collaborate with electrical, facility, and mechanical maintenance teams as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position has limited supervisory responsibilities, with potential project assignments.

  • May be tasked with completing specific projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools is essential.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions in various formats.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Basic experience with 480-volt systems is required.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
