  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Diploma from an approved practical nursing program.
  • Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure. Current BLS required.
  • Two years' LPN experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
  • Understanding of documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease management and control safety standards.
  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
  • Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug dosages.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the electronic medical record.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
