The Opportunity
The Adobe Design Content Strategy (ADCS) team, a dynamic group of content strategists, designers, and UX writers focused on enhancing in-product user experiences, is seeking a Senior Content Architect to join our ranks. Our expertise in language and communication allows us to shape user experiences across Adobe's diverse product offerings.

Our responsibilities encompass content strategy, in-product UX writing, and the development of standards and guidelines for our design system, Spectrum, and beyond.

This position reports to the Director of Content Strategy within Adobe Design and serves as an individual contributor role with opportunities for mentorship and leadership.


Please Note:
This role is distinct from content marketing or advertising copywriting. What You'll Do
In this capacity, you will integrate with the Document Cloud team, which specializes in document management solutions such as PDF and Acrobat.

We are at a pivotal moment, particularly as we explore advancements in AI, chatbots, and deeper integrations with Adobe Express and other applications.


As a content architect supporting Document Cloud, your responsibilities will include:
  • Integrating with and serving as a key member of the Document Cloud design team.
  • Collaborating closely with designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, legal teams, marketers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality in our design processes across various products and platforms.
  • Advocating for an inclusive, accessible, user-centered approach while balancing business objectives.
  • Developing strategies and standards for language use within Document Cloud and its interaction with other Adobe applications.
  • Mentoring and guiding content strategists and colleagues from other disciplines.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Haves:
  • A proven history of crafting effective content strategies and executing them through writing and design.
  • Experience in content strategy or design within a large, diverse organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead content initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to present and advocate for your ideas, fostering collaboration and support.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to implement content design across a complex, interconnected product ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, or Sketch.
  • Knowledge of inclusive and accessible content practices.
  • 4+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, UX writing, information architecture, or a related field.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience or interest in AI and chatbots.
  • Familiarity with document management systems.
  • Understanding of localization and internationalization.
  • Experience in a large organization with a diverse range of products and customers.
  • Background in working with a prominent brand or legacy product.
