Student Services Receptionist

This position provides college-wide information, referrals, and assistance to students, staff, and the general public. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of office practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service at the front desk, incorporating respectful, patient, positive, and solution-focused behaviors and attitudes.
- Assist with college activities such as registration, conferences, and special events.
- Process records, requisitions, and forms.
- Conduct general office filing and maintenance.
- Research information as needed, including using various confidential records and databases.
- Assist in answering phones and directing calls for the department.
- Assist in scheduling student appointments over the phone or in-person.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Bicultural/multicultural skills sufficient to select appropriate behaviors, values, and attitudes within different cultures during interactions with others.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of difficult and responsible secretarial duties.
- Knowledge of current office practices.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and the general public.
- Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks or projects.
- One year of clerical, reception, and/or secretarial experience or related education.
- Experience working in an environment serving diverse customers.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using the Google Suite.
- Bilingual English/Spanish - reading, writing, and speaking fluency.
