Speech Language Pathologist

As a Speech Language Pathologist with the McMinnville School District, you will play a vital role in providing screening, evaluation, and services to students with speech and language impairments. Your expertise will help identify and address communication challenges, enabling students to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement procedures for assessing the needs of children referred for speech, language, and hearing evaluation.
Provide leadership and collaborate with teachers, parents, and students to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
Offer speech and language therapy to qualified students, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote effective communication.
Coordinate referrals with community agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Prepare written reports for teachers on speech and language evaluations, and quarterly progress reports for the Director of Student Services and building principals.
Requirements:
Licensed by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists.
Valid Oregon Driver's License.
Ability to communicate and work harmoniously with administrative personnel, staff, parents, and community agencies.
Flexibility and resourcefulness in behavior management.
Understanding of challenges facing second-language learners (bilingual Spanish/English skills desired but not required).
Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a team member.
Ability to plan, organize, and work without close supervision.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District personnel and the public.
Maintains confidential information and the privacy of District staff, students, and families.
Carries out work responsibilities effectively under pressure of deadlines, interruptions, and new or emergency situations.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Ability to respect confidential information.
Computer skills to include use of word processing programs, database programs, and the Google Suite of products.
