Job Title: Senior DSP Communications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DSP Communications Engineer to join our team at Rincon Research Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring small project teams in the conception, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software-based solutions for modern communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor small project teams in the development of custom digital signal processing solutions and communications systems
  • Conceive, analyze, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software-based solutions for modern communications systems
  • Develop and implement algorithms, hardware control, system optimization, and deployment strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or equivalent field of discipline
  • Demonstrated capability in scientific programming with C, C++, or similar high-level language on UNIX/Linux
  • Strong background in DSP or communications theory
  • Experience with CUDA, ICE Cards, and Mod/Demod
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance - US Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or equivalent field of discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in practical system development, deployment, and leading others
  • X-Midas or MATLAB experience

Compensation: Starts at $141k + benefits. Total compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
