We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DSP Software Engineer to join our team at the Ed Wallach Search Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and Python development, as well as a solid foundational knowledge of computer science.

The successful candidate will work closely with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engineers and other domain experts to develop new tools and improve existing ones. A strong math background, particularly knowledge of Fourier transforms or linear algebra, is highly desirable. Familiarity with geolocation techniques and RF physics will also be beneficial.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Developing, modifying, and improving a suite of signal processing tools
  • Implementation of real-time signal processing algorithms on Linux-based SDR platforms
  • Supporting customer needs and requirements
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting system performance

Requirements:
  • C++ and Python programming skills
  • Knowledge and familiarity working in a team development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Development experience in the Intelligence and Defense communities
  • Comfortable working in a Linux development environment
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Desired Experience:
  • XMIDAS familiarity
  • Java programming skills
  • GUI development experience (e.g. QT)
  • Code Management experience (e.g. Git)
  • Intel Compiler and/or Intel optimization tools experience
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (e.g. JIRA, Stash, Confluence, and Jenkins)
  • Ability to analyze and improve the performance of existing algorithms
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded signal processing algorithms in Python/C++ on Linux hosts
