Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out designated nursing tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for all assigned patients, including flow sheets.
- Assist medical professionals during examinations and procedures as required.
Reporting Structure:
In this role, you will report directly to the Nurse Manager and provide essential bedside care to patients. Additional responsibilities may include respiratory services, rehabilitation support, and phlebotomy.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR-BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Preferred: One (1) year of experience in an acute care inpatient setting.
- Preferred: Certification as a Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant.
Compliance Requirements:
Due to the nature of this position, candidates must fulfill the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, which includes background checks from the Pennsylvania State Police, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. Employment will commence only after satisfactory completion of all three checks.
Vaccination Policy:
Covid Vaccination is mandatory for employment at Jefferson for individuals working in clinical settings. Candidates who are not vaccinated must receive the vaccination prior to their start date unless they obtain an approved medical or religious exemption.
