About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at Yale-New Haven Health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide top-notch patient care.

Job Summary:

  • Assess and treat patients, families, and social work consultation to interdisciplinary teams in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge base through educational opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services.
  • Participate in teaching, mentoring, and project/task force participation as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Connecticut or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from Rhode Island.
  • 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision in Connecticut.
  • 24 months of experience licensed as a licensed clinical social worker under appropriate supervision in Rhode Island.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an outpatient IOP psychiatric setting.
  • Ability to perform independently and provide comprehensive assessments.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year.
