Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our New Jersey practice. The Wound Care RN will oversee, coordinate, and deliver follow-up care in collaboration with Nurse Practitioners, ensuring compliance with federal, state, regulatory, and company standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of patient care and adhering to established clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Manage continuity of care following the Primary Wound Therapy Protocol Application.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and personal integrity while working with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
- Contribute to the education efforts of Restore First Health's Advanced Wound Therapy program.
- Assist in developing comprehensive wound management plans in consultation with the Medical Director and Nurse Practitioners.
- Engage in business development initiatives to position Restore First Health as a leader in Advanced Wound Therapy.
- Establish relationships with healthcare providers and agencies to enhance the wound care program.
After completing the 12-week Primary Wound Therapy Protocol, the Wound Care RN will evaluate ongoing wound care needs through scheduled patient visits. This includes:
- Documenting care plans and maintaining relationships with providers, families, and patients.
- Reviewing patient charts to ensure accurate documentation of wound assessments and treatments.
- Investigating adverse events related to wound care.
The Wound Care RN will serve as a consultant to facility staff, providing training and support to enable effective wound assessment and care planning. Responsibilities include:
- Educating staff on available products and protocols.
- Instructing families on patient care and engaging potential referring physicians.
- Collaborating with the Director of Operations to streamline discharge procedures and scheduling for post-treatment visits.
