Darigold is looking for a skilled Plant Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic team at the Boise Plant. This role is essential for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations across the facility.

The Plant Maintenance Manager will lead and coordinate all maintenance staff to ensure optimal plant performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional technical support to the manufacturing operations, fostering a safety-first culture that enhances value for our producers and ensures the highest quality products for our customers.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a high-performance cross-functional team, engaging with plant and regional manufacturing technical resources, engineering, and IT.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all critical systems including boiler, steam, compressed air, water, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical equipment.
  • Manage the upkeep of all processing and packaging machinery.
  • Oversee daily work schedules for mechanics and coordinate necessary external contractor services.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage departmental work requests and orders.
  • Plan weekly shifts for mechanics, including overtime as required.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all maintenance staff.
  • Maintain high standards of plant quality performance.
  • Participate in teams focused on plant performance enhancement.
  • Work alongside the Engineering Manager to oversee capital expenditure projects.
  • Provide emergency response as needed.
  • Facilitate training for both new and existing employees.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:

  • Preferred background in dairy, beverage, packaging, or process industries.
  • Proven expertise in mechanics, electrical systems, building maintenance, wastewater treatment, and plant utility systems.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration.
  • Flexibility to adapt work schedules as operational needs arise.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes within industrial settings, particularly in Food and Beverage, along with knowledge of electrical control systems and machinery.
  • Leadership skills in knowledge transfer and the application of maintenance and engineering standards.
Education and Experience:

  • Degree in engineering or a related discipline; relevant industry experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 5 years in maintenance or engineering roles.
  • Experience leading teams in a unionized environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
