Position: IT Operations and Technical Project Manager

Location: Fremont, CA

Key Responsibilities:

The IT Operations Manager will oversee helpdesk teams, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to customer service excellence. This role also includes training and supporting helpdesk technicians while managing escalated issues.

The Technical Project Manager will serve as a technical authority, spearheading projects related to Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Security, and Data Center operations within complex global and multi-office enterprise infrastructures.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including server networks and devices.
  • Monitoring system performance, IT operations, and storage utilization.
  • Planning for necessary hardware or software upgrades to accommodate system growth.
  • Providing support for escalated helpdesk requests.
  • Leading a team of systems administrators and coordinating with various departments.
  • Mentoring team members and educating users on technical processes.
  • Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Implementing and upholding company security standards.
  • Supporting automation initiatives.
  • Flexibility to collaborate across different time zones.
  • Executing other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Current VMWare or Microsoft Certification is preferred.

Experience:

5-7 years of experience in the information technology sector.

Experience with Scripting/PowerShell and Automation is desirable.

Skills:

Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Strong time management skills with a focus on punctuality.

Proven experience in teamwork and collaboration to achieve objectives.

Ability to analyze problems and develop comprehensive solutions.

Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.

Proficient in generating management reports from ITSM systems.

Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of PCs, laptops, servers, backups, and VMware.

Strong experience in configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11.

Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, RAID types, and virtualization technologies.

Ability to resolve issues related to Office 365, email, and mobile device management.

Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN systems, VPN/SSL solutions, and antivirus/malware solutions.

Experience in monitoring backups and restoring critical data.

Enthusiastic about learning and adapting to new technologies.

Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze and resolve IT challenges.

Teamwork: Collaborate globally to implement large-scale IT initiatives.

Communication: Effective listening and clear articulation of ideas.
