Job Summary: As an Occupational Therapist at Baylor Scott & White Health, you will plan, organize, and provide professional services in restorative, functional, and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Your clinical practice will include evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mental, physical, or emotional person with a disability.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients, modifying therapy programs and goals as needed.
  • Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner, entering charges accurately.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team, providing education to patients, family, and staff.
  • Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers, advancing clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues, adhering to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.

  • Exhibits good communication skills and can relate professionally and positively to patients, patient's family members, and facility staff.
  • Demonstrates proven face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team, assuring delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Possesses proficient computer knowledge, operating multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accredited Occupational Therapy Program
  • Acute Care experience preferred
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)Basic Life Support (BLS)

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
