About the Role
  • Support the company's environmental sustainability strategy and drive initiatives with a positive impact on responsible sourcing, waste management, energy and emissions reduction, water conservation, and the built environment.
  • Collaborate with the sustainability department to identify, plan, and implement projects that align with the company's environmental strategy and bring value to the environment, society, and business.
  • Understand environmental regulations and contractual requirements, supporting their implementation across operations and conducting evaluations for compliance with local, state, federal, and contract standards.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, reporting on performance, and contributing to inspirational sustainability storytelling to showcase progress.
  • Provide training and educational programs to raise team awareness and promote sustainability, while offering expertise to business development efforts to strategically grow the company.
  • Stay informed of sustainability trends, conducting research to identify opportunities and risks, and participating in budget analysis to evaluate financial impacts of environmental sustainability projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to promote sustainability awareness and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in environmental sustainability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability or a related field such as environmental science, sustainability management, or corporate sustainability.
  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, corporate sustainability, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Credentials such as LEED, TRUE, ISSP and other sustainability-related professional development are preferred.
  • Leadership skills with a passion for sustainability.
  • Adept Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and familiarity with cloud-based software systems.
