Job Title: Field Superintendent

Metromont, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Superintendent to join our dynamic team. As a Field Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the erection of precast concrete structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with general contractors and other trades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-construction, job site, and other meetings to represent Metromont and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate the sequence of field activities and schedule with the general contractor, other trades, and Metromont's production and haul departments.
  • Confirm site preparation with the general contractor before erection, ensuring access, trailer storage, crane pads, and survey of embed plates.
  • Monitor compliance with Metromont's Standard Erection Agreement and job site-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate with the erector to submit the stability plan and setup stability review meetings.
  • Monitor the erector's adherence to the stability plan, backwelding, and grouting standards during construction.
  • Monitor and confirm the erector's completion of the erection sequence and submission of five-day look-ahead schedules.
  • Setup and conduct internal pre-erection meetings and ensure the erector maintains the erected structure within acceptable tolerances.
  • Monitor the erector's compliance with Metromont's field safety standards and the overall site safety plan.
  • Submit repair detail requests, coordinate approval, and facilitate the supply of materials and labor for on-site repairs.
  • Coordinate welding inspections through the general contractor.
  • Provide feedback to Metromont's production and project management teams regarding product quality and erection hardware.
  • Coordinate and schedule Metromont's field finishing and post-erection subcontractor activities with the general contractor and other trades.
  • Monitor the field finishing subcontractor and other subcontractors for compliance with Metromont's field safety standards and the site-specific safety program.
  • Develop Metromont's punch list of items to be completed before requesting a punch list from the general contractor and/or architect.
  • Submit daily reports as required by the general contractor for the project.
  • Document all meetings and phone conversations in written format.
  • Submit weekly Erection Tracking Report and Deficiencies / Issues Log.
  • Document the progression of work/issues with photos.
  • Manage deficiencies and punch list items on the general contractor's management software.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in construction science, construction management, or concrete construction.
  • 2 years of experience in the construction industry in general contracting, precast plant operations, engineering, or other related fields.
  • Microsoft Office and project management software (Procore, Helix, Prolog, etc.) proficiency.
