Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Support Specialist:

  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Oversee patient scheduling, ensuring timely appointments for urgent and routine visits.
  • Assist in the electronic documentation and updating of patient medical records.
  • Support clinical procedures and interventions conducted in the office.
  • Manage incoming calls, voicemails, and address patient inquiries.
  • Conduct Urine Drug Screens as necessary.
  • Communicate and document laboratory and pathology results effectively.
  • Handle prescription refills, authorizations, and medication management.
  • Clarify procedures and treatment plans to patients.
  • Assist with prior authorization processes for medications and procedures.

Qualifications for the Healthcare Support Specialist:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Experience in healthcare management is beneficial; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong organizational skills to adapt to fluctuating workloads.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and a commitment to customer service.
  • Demonstrate sound professional judgment.
  • Willingness to adapt and grow with the organization.
  • Ability to travel within a reasonable distance as required.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
