Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Grand Blanc Opco LLC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing clinical direction and in-services regarding patient care and other respiratory-related issues to our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory-related services for established patients or services within the Respiratory Care Practitioner scope of services, including testing patients for qualifying clinical needs, gathering information, and submitting it to the facility.
  • Record all pertinent information on respiratory care records and patient charts, including consults, recommendations, and conversations with physicians, staff, patients, patient family members, or other caregivers.
  • Assist the facility in regulatory issues, ensuring that respiratory equipment and supplies are stored in appropriate storage areas, and appropriate signs and documentation are provided within the facility.
  • Take care of routine tasks, such as filing and faxing, as necessary.
  • Communicate with facility staff regarding relevant clinical and operational issues regarding the program and patient care issues.
  • Assess patients' respiratory needs, oxygen saturation, and ventilator use, and work with ventilators.
  • Complete treatments and ventilator checks in a timely fashion and notify supervisors of any facility concerns or needs.
  • Complete TARs at the end of each month to ensure accurate information.
  • Participate in special projects and resolve routine problems, communicating solutions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • ACRT or RRT license and a graduate of an AMA-approved school for respiratory care.
  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Vent Certified, preferred.
  • One year of respiratory therapy experience preferred in a long-term care setting.
