Adjunct Clinical Instructor, Dental Hygiene Position

We are seeking a highly qualified clinical adjunct faculty member to join our Dental Hygiene program at the University of New England. As a clinical instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and evaluation to our students in their onsite clinic on the Portland campus.
Responsibilities- Deliver instruction in the school's face-to-face onsite clinical setting, guiding students in understanding the Standards for Clinical Dental Hygiene Practice and the Dental Hygiene Process of Care.
- Assess students' competency in the performance of steps in the Dental Hygiene Process of Care, including vital signs, intra and extra oral exams, dental charting, periodontal charting and diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, pain management, instrumentation skills, delivery of preventive agents, and re-evaluation/assessing patient care outcomes.
- Support incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion into the curriculum, as well as co-curricular experiences, to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of health disparities.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene, with Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in DH clinical practice.
