Clinical Diabetes Expertise Development Specialist

Job OverviewThe Senior Clinical Diabetes Specialist will collaborate with the Territory Business Leader to launch our cutting-edge insulin pump and future products in San Diego County. Your primary responsibility is to deliver exceptional clinical education and product training for healthcare providers and people with diabetes, driving product adoption and persistent use.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategic territory plans with the TBL to meet/exceed goals.
- Execute effective clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts.
- Assess referrals for product suitability in people with diabetes.
- Facilitate product education and training for users of Sequel products.
- Drive healthcare provider adoption by promoting the clinical benefits of automated insulin delivery with Sequel products and conducting impactful product demonstrations.
- Certify healthcare providers to conduct product training for people with diabetes.
- Facilitate virtual product training and educational webinars.
- Communicate user feedback cross-functionally to improve product development.
- Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize the user experience.
- Maintain high proficiency in discussing and demonstrating Sequel products, as well as expertise in diabetes and therapeutic options for diabetes care.
- Participate in conventions, educational forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
- Assist with field sales and clinical training.
- Participate in advisory boards with cross-functional departments.
- Mentor junior staff.
- Lead team calls and meetings as needed.
- A valid professional license in one or more fields: RN, RD, PA, NP, Pharmacist.
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education, with strong experience in technical use of diabetes technology preferred.
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required.
- 4+ years of clinical diabetes education experience.
- Experience coordinating and conducting diabetes device education in the medical device industry preferred.
- Demonstrated history of high performance in previous roles.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from patients and healthcare providers.
- Strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Estimated Salary Range$141,000 - $161,000 annually, based on achievement of goals, with base pay varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
