Position Overview:
This role is designated for the Food and Beverage Facilities within the Air Mobility Command.

It involves frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying of items weighing between 5 to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lifting items exceeding 40 pounds. Heavier items, such as kegs, are typically moved using a dolly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage limited-service bars and prepare a select range of alcoholic beverages by choosing appropriate mixes and garnishes.
  • Serve beer, soda, and wine directly to patrons or through waitstaff.
  • Take food orders from customers and communicate these to the kitchen or serve pre-packaged items.
  • Handle payments, operate the cash register, and provide change to customers or waitstaff.
  • Set up the bar for operations and secure a cash bank.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, restocking items as needed.
  • Wash bar equipment, glassware, and utensils, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Assist in stocking service bars and support higher-level supervisors as required.
  • May be responsible for unloading and inspecting deliveries.
  • Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks, including cleaning under and behind equipment, washing floors, and sanitizing waste containers.
  • Prepare documentation for cash fund accountability.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards as established.
  • Assist with inventory management and identify items for reordering.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Employment Qualifications:

This position is open to all applicants. Candidates will be assessed based on their preferences and eligibility criteria. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate relevant experience, which may include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles.

Applicants must have experience in mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, including knowledge of proper proportions and mixtures. Experience in serving bar food, such as pre-packaged snacks and small hot food items, is also required. Candidates should be able to identify intoxicated or disruptive patrons and manage such situations appropriately.

Physical requirements include the ability to frequently lift items weighing 5 to 15 pounds, push and pull objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier items. Candidates must also meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages and obtain a Food Handler's Certificate.

Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with the public are essential. A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) must be satisfactorily completed.

This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position that supports Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Air Mobility Command.
