Position Summary: We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician. This role offers competitive compensation, over two weeks of paid time off after a short introductory period, and numerous pathways for career growth. Ideal candidates will have experience with construction or agricultural machinery, a preference for fieldwork over shop work, and a desire to be part of a reliable organization.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections to identify the root cause of equipment failures, adhering to established protocols.
- Perform high-quality repairs on machine components in the field.
- Recondition and restore equipment and its components.
- Plan and sequence repair tasks effectively.
- Pre-order necessary parts and materials for assigned repairs.
- Execute repairs safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and maintain the aesthetic integrity of the equipment.
- Keep the work area organized and safe.
- Maintain accurate records of time, parts, supplies, and external purchases related to repairs.
- Submit all field records daily, even if not returning to the office.
- Care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Present a professional appearance and adhere to safety protocols, encouraging others to do the same.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers and colleagues.
- 3-5 years of experience as an equipment technician.
- Ability to work independently in a field setting.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and collaboration within the branch, particularly with parts staff and fellow technicians.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- A technical school certificate or equivalent mechanical repair experience is preferred.
- Prior experience as a field service technician is advantageous.
