Wireless Technician

As a Wireless Technician at Assurant, you will be responsible for inspecting, refurbishing, testing, programming, tuning, troubleshooting, and repairing complex radio frequency electro-mechanical devices such as mobile phones. You will work from intricate schematics and diagrams, utilizing Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Communication Test Sets to identify and resolve faults to the component level.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct root cause failure analysis and troubleshooting on suspected defective equipment
- Perform repetitive electromechanical assembly using hand and electric tools
- Repair and program equipment
- Identify and report root cause deficiencies
- Test and repair complex devices
- Work with care and urgency to meet production goals
- Participate in continuous improvement and team building activities
- Refer to and follow Standard Operating Procedures to perform job duties
- Knowledgeable in analog, digital, and RF disciplines
- High School diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated proficiency with soldering and desoldering
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use a personal computer and enter data
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, exposure to changes in temperature, being near moving machinery, and office machinery
- Regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and bar scanner
- Occasional standing and walking, lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
