Job Summary

Southern Medical Management LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will assist nursing staff with basic patient care under the supervision of a nurse manager and physician.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist nurses in gathering medical history information and provide routine patient care as outlined by the SC Nurse Practice and Medical Practice Acts.
  2. Observe patient condition and immediately communicate changes or concerns to the RN or nurse manager.
  3. Document patient information for medical records, including vital signs and weight.
  4. Follow emergency procedures, including CPR if necessary.
  5. Help stock patient exam rooms and clinical supplies.
Requirements
  1. Current medical assistant certification as defined by SC Nurse Practice and Medical Practice Acts.
  2. Up-to-date CPR certification.
  3. Professional customer service skills.
  4. Skill in written and verbal communication.
  5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
