Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Services Attendant to join our team at Hanover County Public Schools. As a key member of our health services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students and staff with health-related issues, including administering medication and providing first aid.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students, including immunization records and emergency contact information.
  • Collaborate with the Health Services Coordinator to identify and address health concerns, and develop individual health care plans for students with medical conditions.
  • Provide vision and hearing screenings, and refer students for further evaluation and treatment as needed.
  • Participate in wellness programs and in-service training to stay current on best practices in school health services.
Requirements
  • Valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a school setting or three years of experience as an LPN.
  • Current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
