Job Statement: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Harmony Senior Services, you will provide high-quality care and assistance with daily living activities to our residents. You will encourage residents to maintain their independence and participate in community activities, ensuring a meaningful experience for all. Your responsibilities will include conducting activities, providing a pleasurable dining experience, and marketing our community in a positive and professional manner. Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all policies and procedures
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities
  • Reporting incidents and care concerns to appropriate individuals
  • Performing housekeeping duties as directed by your supervisor
  • Responding promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts
  • Remaining calm and competent during emergencies
  • Assisting in planning and conducting activity programs
  • Following confidentiality policies regarding resident information
  • Assisting residents with transportation and attendance at meals and activities
  • Checking on residents who are ill and reporting status or concerns
  • Communicating verbally and in writing to report resident status and community information
  • Assisting new residents with move-in transition and providing emotional support
  • Reporting resident changes and interventions in the Daily Log and clinical record
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must possess a current CNA license from the state in which our community is located and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. You must also be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, be organized, and work well with all levels of personnel. Additionally, you must be a contributing member of the nursing team, follow instruction from your supervisor, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times. You must also be able to walk and stand for extended periods, lift 50 pounds, and push or carry 25 pounds. CPR/First Aid certification is required, or you must be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire. You must be able to represent our community in a positive and professional manner and attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings. A flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays is also required.
