Job Title: Senior Technical Support Engineer

Join Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, as a Senior Technical Support Engineer in our Sensor Power and Analog Design Department. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support our research and development electrical concepts to actual products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with engineering teams in a lab environment to support research and development electrical concepts to actual products.
  • Support various facets of testing, presenting technical data to engineers for review.
  • Engage in personal technical growth, and facilitate technical growth in peers.
  • Travel to Marlborough, MA; Tewksbury, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn, MA; and/or Pelham, NH may be required depending on the assignment.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a B.S. degree or 5 years minimum experience in electronics hardware fabrication, bread boarding, test, troubleshooting and the ability to read technical documentation or an A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology and 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in using a variety of power and digital test equipment to verify the performance of electronics such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power sources AC/DC.
  • Experience with solder surface mount and through hole electronics, fabricate electrical-mechanical hardware such as test boxes and wire harnesses.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with high voltage or high current electronics.
  • Knowledge of Mentor Graphics, Creo Schematics, or related schematic capture/board and layout tools.
  • Ability to write detailed test reports.
  • Experience working in engineering and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting/servicing field equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in a DoD environment.
  • Experience working as part of a larger team.
