The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled High Power Radio Frequency (HPRF) engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing advanced HPRF systems for the warfighter.

With a strong background in RF, High Voltage, and DE technologies, you will be responsible for leading engineering initiatives that will add alternative options to warfighters' means to dress in real-world missions. You will work closely with government personnel, including colleagues, stakeholders, warfighters, and sponsors, to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop next-generation HPRF systems, including laboratory and field testing, test goal establishment, and data analysis
  • Develop and implement high-powered, pulsed power-driven microwave systems, including electronic printed circuit board design and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HPRF systems with other technologies, such as software development and operational planning
  • Lead engineering initiatives to advance the state-of-the-art for non-lethal systems, including HPM and HPRF source testing and evaluation
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory and field testing, including test goal establishment and data analysis
  • 5+ years of experience with HPM and HPRF source testing and evaluation
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing high-powered, pulsed power-driven microwave systems
  • Experience with digital and analog control systems, power electronics, EMI mitigation techniques, and high-voltage capacitors
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with high voltage, high peak power spark-gaps, high voltage power supplies, fast transient diagnostics, and EMI and EMC mitigation techniques
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering related to program development, modeling, or simulation
  • Master's degree
