Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities and functions of lead pharmacy technicians, pharmacy student interns, pharmacy technicians, and medication history technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight to ensure standard procedures are followed.
- Evaluate and monitor team performance by auditing, tracking & trending, and educating & training.
- Communicate feedback from observed performance and audits to leadership.
- Direct and motivate individual daily performance toward organizational and departmental goals.
- Develop schedule in coordination & approval of leadership. Manage timecards and attendance.
- Develop tech workflow in collaboration with pharmacists, technicians, & leadership.
- Develop training and onboarding materials for new staff.
- Ensure required training and onboarding documentation is completed and approved by leadership.
- Develop agenda for technician meetings and meets on a regular basis.
- Oversee medication and pharmaceutical supply purchasing processes. Participate in recall process.
- Assist with reviewing, writing, and creating policy & procedures.
- Perform other duties as pharmacy technician when needed and supervisor as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- PTCB Certification (active).
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (active & in good standing).
Desired:
- Computer skills, ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Completion of one to two years of college preferred.

Work Schedule: DAY 8.5
Work Shift: 9:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday

Salary Range: $ Hourly
Working conditions:
- Some manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity.
- Some occupational risk.
- Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force.
- Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
