Job Summary:


The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the delivery of timely, safe, compliant, and cost-effective pharmacy services according to department policies, procedures, and practice standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight to ensure standard procedures are followed.
  • Evaluate and monitor team performance by auditing, tracking & trending, and educating & training.
  • Communicate feedback from observed performance and audits to leadership.
  • Direct and motivate individual daily performance toward organizational and departmental goals.
  • Develop schedules in coordination & approval of leadership. Manage timecards and attendance.
  • Develop tech workflow in collaboration with pharmacists, technicians, & leadership.
  • Develop training and onboarding materials for new staff.
  • Ensure required training and onboarding documentation is completed and approved by leadership.
  • Develop agendas for technician meetings and meet on a regular basis.
  • Oversee medication and pharmaceutical supply purchasing processes. Participate in recall processes.
  • Assist with reviewing, writing, and creating policy & procedures.
  • Perform other duties as pharmacy technician when needed and as assigned.
Education Skills Experience

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 2 years

  • PTCB Certification (active)

License:
Registered Pharmacy Technician (active & in good standing)
oConnecticut Department of Consumer Protection for those working in CT
oBoard of Pharmacy for those working in NY

Preferred:

  • Computer skills, ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Completion of one to two years of college preferred
