We are currently seeking skilled Manufacturing Team Supervisors to become part of our dynamic team.

Position Summary

A Manufacturing Team Supervisor provides essential leadership and is accountable for the efficiency of their designated team. In this capacity, the supervisor will guide their team in executing tasks and directing the production line under the oversight of a manager. The supervisor also serves as a backup to the manager on the production floor, ensuring accurate completion of documentation, monitoring employee attendance, and coaching team members on production protocols and policies.

As a Manufacturing Team Supervisor, you will carry out your designated responsibilities while leading your team's efforts to safely achieve production goals in compliance with company standards and Health & Safety and Food Safety Programs. In this role, you will effectively contribute to the company's objectives as well as support your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production targets are met, troubleshoot issues, and allocate resources efficiently to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee compliance with processes, policies, and quality requirements; ensure team adherence to company policies, quality programs, and safety regulations.
  • Assist in identifying staffing requirements, participate in the recruitment process, and train team members on their assigned tasks.
  • Manage daily team operations, communicate production objectives, and understand the implications of failures on quality and costs.
  • Promote a positive team atmosphere by defining roles and expectations, supporting team members, and demonstrating leadership to enhance engagement and trust.
  • Handle various tasks, exemplify best practices, collaborate across departments, maintain high standards through personal example, and show willingness to adapt and take on new responsibilities.
  • Address quality issues, separate non-conforming materials, and demonstrate knowledge of kitchen health, safe food storage, and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures by following company standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and maintaining necessary logs.
  • Ensure production documentation is accurate, updated, and maintained, including mathematical calculations and data entry into digital systems.
  • Participate in safety training, report any safety concerns or hazardous conditions, and maintain a safe and organized work environment through regular housekeeping.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and adherence to company attendance policies as a fundamental job function.
  • Act as a backup to the manager and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures, humid environments, and high noise levels while utilizing protective equipment.
  • Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods, as well as walk, reach, bend, smell, listen, speak, and see to perform essential job functions.
  • Experience working around moving mechanical components and frequently lifting, pushing, and sliding packages weighing up to 50lbs (occasionally up to 70lbs).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, effective time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend instructions, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and be available for call-backs as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a team leadership role.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is advantageous.

Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience, starting at $16.00 per hour.
