Your contributions are vital to our success. Every position has a significant impact on our patients' lives, and you have the chance to make a meaningful difference. We are seeking a committed Paramedic for the Emergency Department to join our team.

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will include gathering and communicating information to team members and the attending physician regarding the patient's health status. You will ensure patient safety, maintain proficiency with the charting system, and foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, colleagues, and other hospital personnel.

  • Gather data and develop a care plan for each patient, including anticipated outcomes.
  • Facilitate patient flow through the emergency care system.
  • Engage and educate patients and/or families in the care process.
  • Receive and relay patient reports from emergency medical services via radio.
  • Maintain and stock equipment such as stretchers, closets, and cabinets as necessary.
  • Administer IV fluids and respiratory treatments as required.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and advanced cardiac life support when needed.
  • Assist with splint application, wound care, oxygen administration, suture setup, and other medical procedures.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Completion of required coursework/graduation from an accredited Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program.
  • Graduation from an Associate's Degree program in Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or instructor must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or instructor.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or instructor must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Certificate or Vocational School Graduate.
  • Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP) or Emergency Medical Technician: Paramedic (EMT-P) certification.
