About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Director of Security and Safety to join our team at Sovah Health - Danville. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance physical security and safety practices across our campuses.
  • Conduct regular risk and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies and industry standards.
  • Oversee the Market Emergency Preparedness Program, Market Workplace Violence Prevention Program, and Handle With Care Program.
  • Supervise and train security team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, facilities, risk, legal, and other stakeholders to develop integrated security strategies and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in security or law enforcement, with 12 years' supervisory experience.
  • An Associate's degree in a related field or a High School diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Competency with various business software programs, including Microsoft Office and data analytical tools.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, particularly spreadsheet development, database, Word, and PowerPoint reporting.
  • Familiarity with International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) accepted training standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
