We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Staff Member to join our team at Obsidian Solutions Group LLC. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) in training and exercise development, ensuring that all Marines and Sailors are trained to the highest standards of readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with active-duty Marines, Sailors, and other service members to design and develop training programs and exercises.
- Use Joint Network Analysis and Targeting (JNAT) methods and Agile program management approach to analyze and evaluate training needs and develop effective solutions.
- Work closely with the FMPX and JNAT program manager, unit Operations and Training Chiefs, and other stakeholders to align exercise and training program materials and methods with stated objectives.
- Conduct and review course and program elements, making recommendations and adjustments as necessary.
- Train as a JNAT Instructor and integrate JNAT methods into exercise and operational design.
- Support the planning and design of emerging exercises, education, and training events, coordination of instructor and student materials, evaluations, and alternate learning methods.
- Execute exercise and classroom instruction in garrison and field environments.
- Must have knowledge and skills in instructional design theories.
- Must have knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct studies and analyze findings.
- Past performance in directly supporting U.S. Marine Special Operations Command units and formal schools.
- Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Must possess self-motivation and a high level of discretion to work effectively with others.
- Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention to detail.
- Past performance as a USMARSOC instructor, teaching, or related field and 5 years of related work experience.
- Past performance conducting assessment and performance evaluations.
- Strategic SOF planning, organizing, and analyzing instructional development activities desired.
- Experience supporting multinational and Joint Operations is required, Joint Special Operations is desired.
- Garrison work environment, including routine field/tactical environments.
- Occasional extended working hours will be required.
- Schedule: M-F 0700 to 1700, with some reverse operations.
- Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
- Up to 15-25% travel.
