About the Role

The Residential Counselor II is a key member of our team, responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment within the residence. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest quality care and services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to clients, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to program standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a staff advocate for clients, promoting their rights and dignity.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, applying crisis intervention techniques as trained.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, recognizing the diversity of each client.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • An associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a human service field is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with youth in a related field.
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
