Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist physicians during treatment, examination, and surgical procedures, utilizing your knowledge of medical equipment and techniques.
  • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and test results in medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information, using your excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication use, and compliance, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Practice confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards, maintaining the highest level of patient confidentiality.
  • Enter accurate and complete provider notes into patient charts, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in required meetings and contribute to community education initiatives, promoting the company's commitment to patient care and community involvement.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant certification or two years of recent, verifiable medical assistant employment experience.
  • Computer experience and/or EHR experience required, with a strong understanding of medical software and systems.
