About the Role

Workday, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Global Sourcing Manager to lead the development and execution of global category strategies for meetings and events. This individual will be responsible for driving business value and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve the sourcing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global category strategies for meetings and events, including spend and market analysis, RFx's, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand event agency services and negotiate contracts to manage cost and performance.
  • Initiate RFP processes to secure event agencies, meeting space, and logistical event needs.
  • Qualify proposals, negotiate and confirm critical program components with suppliers and business stakeholders.
  • Establish relationships with key suppliers to drive strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Leverage internal systems to automate reports and scale current/future processes.
  • Analyze data, reports, and dashboards to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced sourcing professional with a strong background in meetings and events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business value through strategic sourcing and supplier management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement for indirect spend, preferably for meetings and events.
  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Management, etc.; Master's degree preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Advanced sourcing experience leading RFx's, conducting supplier management, and handling a sourcing category with a focus on Meetings and Events.
  • Ability to think critically and translate financial modeling and data analytics into actionable solutions.
  • Understanding of contracts and contract management.
  • Expert negotiation skills and ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
