Job Description

As a Fiduciary Support Officer, you will play a critical role in the administration of trust accounts in Wealth Management & Trust. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to regulations and state-specific statutes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordinated delivery of processes specific to fiduciary accounts, including onboarding, termination, and distribution processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate required notice letters to qualified beneficiaries.
  • Monitor and prepare periodic account reviews to ensure compliance with governing instruments.
  • Prepare court accountings for guardian/conservator accounts.
  • Calculate annual distributions for 5x5, unitrust, and total return accounts.
  • Coordinate post-death processes for deceased clients/beneficiaries.
  • Review and maintain Future Business Files.
  • Process acceptance and termination paperwork.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in accounting or a related business field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of banking and/or wealth management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines and time budgets.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee will continually communicate with coworkers or customers. The employee will constantly position themselves to sit or stand, and occasionally move around the office to access filing cabinets or office machinery. The employee will constantly operate a computer, using repetitive movements of hands and fingers, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machinery, and computer printer. The employee will frequently identify, observe and assess materials and information, visually or otherwise. The employee will frequently be required to lift or carry up to 10 pounds, and occasionally be required to lift or carry 11 – 50 pounds, with assistance if needed.

Employees must also have the ability and means to travel as necessary for the purpose of attending training, meetings, and other various business functions.
