Position Title: Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants

Organization: Change Inc.

Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants are essential in delivering a range of supportive services to individuals within both home and community environments. Our clients benefit from a variety of programs we provide, which encompass elder care (including companionship, homemaking, and personal care assistance), mental health support, recovery assistance, and in-home aid for individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries.

  • Engage in meaningful conversations and offer companionship, along with necessary resources for daily living.
  • Develop and sustain a supportive rapport with participants through effective communication strategies.
  • Assist clients in reaching their recovery plan objectives.
  • Consistently report progress to supervisors and agency representatives through daily documentation.
  • Provide transportation for clients to medical appointments or social engagements as outlined in their recovery plans, utilizing personal vehicles or public transport.
  • Carry out light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

  • Experience in healthcare or a strong background in customer service.
  • Dependable and responsible, with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
