Position Title: Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants
Organization: Change Inc.
Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants play a crucial role in delivering a range of supportive services to individuals within both home and community environments. Our clients benefit from diverse programs, including senior care (companionship, homemaking, personal assistance), mental health support, and in-home aid for those with developmental disabilities or brain injuries.
- Engage in meaningful conversations while providing companionship and essential resources for daily living.
- Develop and sustain a supportive rapport with participants through effective communication strategies.
- Assist clients in reaching their recovery plan objectives.
- Consistently report progress to supervisors and agency representatives through daily documentation.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social engagements as specified in the recovery plan, utilizing personal vehicles or public transport.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in healthcare or exceptional customer service experience.
- Dependable and responsible with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
