Position Summary:
We deliver comprehensive accounting and financial management services for small business clients throughout the region. We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Financial Specialist to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will possess extensive financial expertise and a solid history of precision. The Financial Specialist will oversee various components of the month-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy of client account balances and financial transactions. If you are a meticulous professional with exceptional analytical abilities and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide actionable insights for enhancements.
- Deliver outstanding client service by managing accounts receivable and payable, addressing client inquiries, and fostering positive client relationships.
- Assist in the development of client budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee client financial transactions and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
- Investigate and propose resolutions for any discrepancies identified in client accounts.
- Conduct account reconciliations and guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Create necessary month-end journal entries as required by clients and maintain supporting spreadsheets.
- Administer client payroll processes and ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including the filing and payment of state and federal payroll taxes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
- Experience with payroll software, such as ADP, Gusto, and QuickBooks Online.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
