POSITION OVERVIEW

The Wood Pipeline Inspection Team is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector to lead a pivotal role within our organization. This position involves collaborating closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager/Director, overseeing a committed team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel during operational activities.
  • Verify adherence to governmental regulations and environmental permits prior to the commencement of construction.
  • Assess that the contractor's equipment and workforce comply with established safety protocols.
  • Facilitate effective communication among the project management team, client representatives, and contractor personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Supervise inspection processes, identifying and addressing any deviations from project specifications.
  • Oversee survey teams to provide essential support for construction activities.
  • Document and evaluate inspection reports, implementing necessary corrective measures as required.
  • Manage weld testing and x-ray evaluations to ensure comprehensive quality assurance of welds.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in managing inspection activities and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate survey teams effectively for construction support.
  • Experience in reviewing and documenting inspection reports, with a focus on corrective action implementation.
  • Expertise in monitoring weld testing and x-ray evaluations to ensure thorough weld quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with project drawings, specifications, and procedures, with the capability to discuss these with craft inspectors.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in pipeline and station construction projects.
  • Knowledge of CFR Title 49 and Parts 191 & 192 regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
