Position Overview:
As the Company Accountant, you will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with senior management, the finance team, and various staff members across the organization.
Your role will require a proactive mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to swiftly gather, analyze, and present financial data to senior management.
Experience in the lumber or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of monthly and weekly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and other management reports.
2. Analysis and updating of budget versus actual results.
3. Management and tracking of labor costs and inventory.
4. Implementation of process automation and improvement initiatives.
5. Ensuring the integrity and integration of various systems (ERP, payroll, POS/inventory).
6. Management of ad hoc project work.
7. Preparation of operational cash flows and budgets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Ability to thrive in a high-performing team environment.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
5. CA or CPA qualification.
6. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated stability in previous roles.
