Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team at Freeform, a rapidly growing company revolutionizing metal additive manufacturing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and optimizing our materials testing infrastructure and strategy, working closely with our process development team to improve printing processes and develop new materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and optimize materials testing infrastructure and strategy
  • Develop and implement new materials and processes
  • Collaborate with process development team to improve printing processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new materials and processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of professional experience in materials engineering, with at least 1 year in metals
  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing and laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
