Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Caregiver to join our team at Franklin Park Alamo Heights. As a Memory Care Caregiver, you will provide person-centered care to our residents with memory loss, promoting their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to residents with memory loss, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dining, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and transfers and ambulating.
  • Encourage resident independence and participation in activities and hobbies, while also promoting engagement in community programs and events.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans for each resident.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in dementia care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with seniors with memory loss preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and transfer residents weighing up to 250 pounds with assistance.
  • Valid certification in CPR and First Aid required.
