Job Summary:

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia is seeking a full-time tenure ineligible Sleep Medicine Physician at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor.

About the Position:

This is a tenure-ineligible position that offers opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic academic environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in teaching at all levels of undergraduate and graduate medical education, as well as contribute to the division's research efforts in sleep medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Contribute to the division's research efforts in sleep medicine
  • Develop and implement educational programs and curricula in sleep medicine

Requirements:

  • MD degree or equivalent
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine
  • Completion of training in an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship and Sleep Medicine Fellowship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong research interest in sleep medicine
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
