About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Practitioner/Licensed Professional Counselor to provide individual and group therapeutic services in a variety of settings across the age span. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' physical or mental condition and develop targeted treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapeutic services, including counseling and therapy
  • Administer assessment tools and develop programming to assist in the treatment of behavioral disorders and disabilities
  • Remain knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care
  • Refer patients to other mental healthcare or medical providers as necessary
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including documentation of progress notes, assessments, and treatment activities
  • Provide a range of brief prevention, treatment, and recovery services, as well as long-term treatment and support
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to patients' treatment
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state practicing required
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
